Art
Our art department builds worlds to explore and explode, again and again and again. It's what makes the game world come alive with astonishing visuals.
Without Art, there can be no game - and no game can be truly exceptional without astonishing art. Art is at the heart of our projects because amazing co-op experiences deserve amazing worlds.
We have three different art teams within Arrowhead: Gameplay Art, Environment Art and Tech Art.
Collectively, our artists are proud to be just as diverse as the art which they produce.
We have artists from Sweden, Italy, Argentina, Spain, Iran, India, Australia, France, the UK and Poland! The artists enjoy working together onsite as much as possible, but we also have a few artists who work remotely.
Tech Art
Creating stunning 3D art is one thing, but in the end it needs to be used in the game. Our Tech Art team ensures the props, assets and characters are compatible with our game engine and do what they're supposed to do creating the finishing visual touch that ties the art together! Lighting and shader coding is also a part of our Tech Art responsibilities. The Tech Art team is officially part of the Tech / Programming department (any open positions are listen there) but of course we work very closely with the Art Teams!
Environment Art
Great characters and props are nothing if they're not able to roam around their world(s). This is where our Environment Art team comes in - we create everything related to worlds for our characters to explore giving the finishing touch to feeling like you are walking around that environment yourself!
Gameplay Art
In the Gameplay Team we create assets, props and characters for the game. We're talking about a mix of organic as well as hard surface art. The trick it to make our assets, props and characters look so realistic it feels like they could jump out of your screen!
