We are now looking for a QA Manager

At Arrowhead, quality is a team effort. Our QA function plays a central role in how we build, test and ship games - working closely with developers, production and external partners to make sure players get the best possible experience.

We’re now looking for a QA Manager to lead the way in shaping how QA works at Arrowhead today, and how it scales for the future. This is a key leadership role and vision holder of how QA should operate across all instances of game making and a cornerstone of building a lean and high performing team of testers.

While the role is studio-wide, the immediate focus is on Helldivers 2 - a live service game with high ambitions, frequent releases and a constantly evolving development landscape.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and develop Arrowhead’s QA organization, with full line management responsibility for our QA team members.
  

• Define and drive the studio-wide QA strategy, ensuring quality is built into how we plan, develop and release games.
  

• Establish clear QA processes, frameworks and documentation that support both internal teams and external partners.
  

• Work closely with Production, Release Management, Tech and Creative leadership to manage risk, improve predictability and raise quality over time.
  

• Own QA reporting and communication - making quality status, risks and priorities visible, reliable and actionable.
  

• Build strong relationships with external QA partners and platform stakeholders.
  

• Champion a culture of quality across the studio, always keeping the player experience front and center.
  

We think you’ll be a great fit if you…

• Have proven leadership experience of guiding successful QA teams in game studios, with a track record of embedding quality across all stages of development.
  

• Have experienced all stages of game development (including live service) and understand how to scale QA efforts internally and externally through life cycles and release cycles alike.
  

• Bring a curious mindset and feel comfortable navigating ambiguity while striving towards the one source of truth.
  

• Understand how to build and foster strong collaborations, both internally and externally.
  

• Enjoy creating structure and clarity in ways of working, embrace continuous improvements and like keeping playbooks up-to-date.
  

• Are passionate about QA as a craft and empower your team to excel in their work through coaching, candid feedback and development goals.
  

Have the ability to communicate clearly and thoughtfully in English, both written and spoken, and can tailor messaging with ease depending on audience and situation.

Practical Information

Scope: Full-time: 40 hours per week with initial 6 month probation period.
Location: Office first, hybrid solution possible. You need to be eligble to work in Sweden.

We are a pet friendly office! You can expect to find dogs and occasionally some cats around.
