We are now looking for a Game Master

The Game Master(s) manage the day-to-day operations of the “Galactic War” in Helldivers 2 and execute storylines and events planned by the narrative team. They aim to run an engaging and evolving campaign by reacting to, anticipating, and challenging players on a community-wide scale. This is achieved by closely collaborating with various teams to ensure the Galactic War aligns with upcoming content and community actions.

Who you are:

We're looking for an experienced game designer with a strategic and narrative-oriented mindset who can champion the community experience within the company.

• System design experience with a focus on engagement and retention mechanics, preferably in strategy and tactics genres
• Experience working with game analytics and data-informed game development
• Familiarity with live online environments, preferably in PC/console games
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a cooperative attitude

Bonus:

• Experience in community management or similar roles interacting with a live community
• An interest in game narratives and a strong sense of storytelling
  

What you'll do:

• Run the live Galactic War instance, ensuring it’s correctly set up with Major Orders, Personal Orders, Modifier Effects, etc.
• Help inform feature design for both Game Master tools and Galactic War features
• Observe community commentary outside the game and monitor community sentiment
• Analyze telemetry and test data, then provide feedback on what works and doesn’t work with our stories, MOs, and GW features
• Execute storylines and events by scheduling and configuring them in our backend systems
• Collaborate with the narrative team to create exciting storylines and events

Practical Information

Scope: Full-time: 40 hours per week with initial 6 month probation period.
Location: Preferred: Office first, hybrid solution possible.
